A Beautiful Dress for my Engagement Party

Posted by admin on July 23rd, 2010

After what seems like four very long years my boyfriend has finally proposed to me and of course I said yes! We have been so close for the whole time that we have been together, but I was actually starting to think that the question was never going to come! He took me out to dinner one night and for once I really was not expecting to hear anything like it, but over dinner he did propose and I think that it was the happiest moment of my life!

Of course we want to celebrate the fact that we are making the whole thing official, so we have decided to have an engagement party! It is going to be held at a hotel in our home town and literally everyone I know has been invited! I can’t wait for the night but I have to say I am feeling a little bit nervous about the whole thing. I decided that I really needed something new to wear so I started to have a look at some of my favourite sites. I came across some of the most wonderful maxi dresses which would be absolutely perfect for the occasion. The dresses were from Very which was a site I had ordered clothes from before, so I knew that they would arrive in plenty of time. I eventually managed to choose the one I liked the best, and when it arrived I was in no doubt that I had chosen the right one. It fitted perfectly and I absolutely loved it! I was just so pleased to have found something that I could be proud to wear on the proudest night of my life.

“Women who wear high heels almost every day will surely see the chronic effect on their calf muscles,” said Professor Marco Narici, who led the research at the Manchester Metropolitan University.

According to him, these muscles will become progressively shorter, and will be difficult to lengthen again as high-heeled shoe was removed, and you try to run as usual.

When wearing high heels, you’ll be forced to walk with your body propped on your toes (toes), reducing the distance between the wrist and the back of the knee. Thus, it will force the calf to contract. In fact, when you only wear heels around 5 cm only, it can cause muscle damage in the long term. (more…)
