Romantic comedy is a genre of film which become favorite for most women. Funny and romantic story is very entertaining. However, during the 90-120 minutes of entertainment, in the reality could have a negative impact on your love relationships. That statement is according to a survey conducted in 1000 Australians.

From the survey found nearly half of the participants reveal the happy ending of romantic comedy has ruined their views about the ideal relationship. One in four respondents said they were now ‘forced’ to know what the partner’s thought.

Meanwhile, one in five female respondents expects to receive gifts or flowers from her partner without special reason.

“Romance in the romantic comedy became a universal issue can make a woman ‘addicted’ to the thought of ‘live happily ever after’. The problem is, it can adversely affect one’s view of the actual relationships in real life,” says Gabrielle Morrissey, counselor to the relationship of Australia, as quoted from the NY Daily News.

“True love relationship requires effort and compromise. It’s more needed than a bouquet of flowers or gifts as a sign of love,” she added.

The survey conducted by Warner Home Video as the launch of the film “Valentine’s Day” in the DVD packaging.
